Trip a Little Light Fantastic

Ok, ok…this is a little heavy handed on the editing, but I just love this shot.

One of the great things about EPCOT and the World Showcase is that everywhere you turn, there is a photo-moment to be captured. For this picture, I just happened to look over as we were passing by this lamp and saw the scene play out. I immediately had flashbacks to the leeries of Mary Poppins Returns and had to run over to get a picture!

The sunset was beautiful that night, but it wasn’t until I was editing and adding a bit more warmth to the temp of the palette when the pinks and purples started to appear in the upper right part of the frame. While leaving the pink/purple took the photo a bit further into editing than I generally like, I couldn’t help but to let it stay. The result is that nearly the full spectrum of color in accounted for in the sky, bringing some added depth to the layering.

It is funny when little moments that aren’t really “moments” become memories.
